The Spieljoch ski area, which features a 10-person gondola as of winter 2017/18, and the nearby Hochfügen and Hochzillertal ski areas leave nothing to be desired. Everyone will find a slope that suits their personal ability level and desired challenges. A special highlight is ski-in & ski-out - this means direct access to the slopes from the hotel. This provides for relaxed skiing enjoyment in the family-friendly Spieljoch ski area.
The Zillertal is extremely popular among skiing fans. The region is guaranteed to have snow, the ski lifts are the most modern of their kind, and the lifts' capacities are ample even though there can sometimes be crowds of people. There is the perfect slope for every desired difficulty level. Beginners can learn on small hills, and family-friendly ski runs are suited for little ski bunnies. In the ski schools and ski kindergartens, the littlest ones can learn how to carve down the slopes. Snowboarders will also find a paradise here where they can show off their skills. As of winter 2017/2018, the family-friendly Spieljoch ski area boasts a new look with 21 km of excellently prepared slopes and the longest valley run in the Zillertal equipped with snow machines.
Ski Optimal ski area in the Zillertal
With its connection to Hochfügen in December 2004 and with ca. 155 km of slopes and 35 lifts, it is 1 of the 3 large ski areas in the Zillertal along with the Zillertal Arena and Ski Zillertal 3000. Depending on snow conditions, the ski season usually beings with weekend operation in November and December.

Year after year, the Zillertal casts a spell over snowboarding fans from near and far. Two fun parks and cool halfpipes delight beginners and pros.
Fun parks - Penken Park and Better Park
In the Hochfügen ski area, there is a halfpipe. The 2 largest fun parks in the valley, the Penken Park in Mayrhofen and the Better Park in Hintertux, offer the perfect challenge for every ability level. Awaiting visitors at the Penken Park are 4 lines (fun, public, pro, and jib), and in the Better Park in Hintertux, there are 3 lines and a superpipe. Snow is guaranteed here from December to April. There is also an opportunity to take professional snowboarding lessons with 1 of the many snowboard instructors in the Zillertal.
