Booking, Arrival & Stay

Here you will find questions and answers regarding your booking and stay:

  • From what time can I check in at the Hotel Waldfriede?

    Check-in is available from 3:00 pm.

  • By what time do I need to check out on the day of departure?

    Check-out is possible between 8:00 am and 11:00 am.

  • Is late check-out available?

    Subject to availability, late check-out can be booked at short notice at reception. Late check-out until 2:00 pm costs €30 per room, and until 7:00 pm €60 per room.

  • Are pets allowed at the hotel?

    No, pets are not permitted at Hotel Waldfriede.

  • Is smoking allowed in the hotel?

    No. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Smokers are welcome to use the heated panoramic terrace.

  • Is free parking available at the hotel?

    Yes, plenty of free parking spaces are available. Additional parking is available in the garage and on the parking deck.

  • Is there a charging station for electric cars?

    Yes, an EV charging station is available for a fee. It can be used with all common charging cards or by credit card.

  • What rooms and suites does Hotel Waldfriede offer?

    Guests can choose from single and double rooms as well as various Junior, Panorama and Spa Suites for up to five people.

  • What are the benefits of booking directly?

    Guests who book directly receive benefits including a welcome drink, a wider choice of room categories, no advance payment requirement and, subject to availability, complimentary early check-in. The wellness area can also be used free of charge on the day of departure after check-out.

  • Does Hotel Waldfriede have a wellness area?

    Yes. The panoramic wellness oasis features an indoor pool, herbal Swiss pine sauna, Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, aroma steam bath and relaxation room.

  • What are the opening hours of the wellness area?

    The indoor pool and relaxation room are open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, while the saunas and steam bath are open from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

  • Are bathrobes and slippers provided?

    Yes. During your stay, a Waldfriede spa bag, slippers and a bathrobe are provided.

  • Can massages and wellness treatments be booked?

    Yes, the hotel offers a range of wellness treatments and massages. These can be booked in advance by email or directly at reception.

  • What is included in half board?

    Half board includes a generous breakfast buffet as well as traditional and international dishes in the evening, with a choice of main courses, a vegetarian option, salad buffet and changing themed buffets.

  • What time are breakfast and dinner served?

    Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am, and dinner from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

  • Does the hotel have an à la carte restaurant?

    Yes, Restaurant Voglbichl serves regional and international cuisine. It is open daily from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.

  • How far is the Spieljochbahn cable car from the hotel?

    The valley station of the Spieljochbahn cable car is less than a three-minute walk away.

  • Is ski-in/ski-out possible in winter?

    Yes. In winter, the hotel offers direct access to the slopes of the Spieljoch ski area.

  • Is there a ski room at the hotel?

    Yes. A ski and boot room with drying facilities is available.

  • Is there a bicycle storage room?

    Yes, the hotel has a bicycle storage room with charging facilities for e-bikes. The room is video monitored.
